By Team Enable
Project Enable is Becoming I Foundation’s fifth project, and first foray into private schools. This project aims to sensitize school children who have led a privileged life towards the problems and challenges that their not-so-privileged counterparts may encounter when they come into private schools.
So far, Project Enable has been implemented once each in New Delhi and Bangalore. In Delhi, the project concluded with a 2-day Right to Education Summit that brought together pioneers in the field of education for discussion and also gave the private school children a platform to present their models for inclusive education. The winning model has already been implemented in a prominent South Delhi school. The biggest milestone of success the project enjoys is the publication of a book which covers all the learnings and challenges encountered by the Delhi team.
Given above is an infographic that outlines the basic structure of project Enable and also highlights what the project aims to do.
The Enable team comprises members who engage students in the exploration of social justice, prejudices and social entrepreneurship through workshops, training programs and mentorship sessions. Like in New Delhi and Bangalore, it will culminate in a student-led summit showcasing the models that have been developed.
